The New Era Of Genetics Education
“Board exams in genetics are among the most expensive and high-stakes of your career—yet affordable, credible study materials are scarce. EveryGene was built by trainees who understand that reality. Our tools simplify complex concepts, are vetted by board-certified experts, and make thorough, effective prep accessible to everyone.”
- Maxwell Summerlin, MD.,
Co-Founder & CEO of EveryGene
EveryGene is a modern genetics education company founded in 2023 by physician-geneticist Dr. Maxwell Summerlin. EveryGene creates board-preparation resources, flashcards, workbooks, and practice questions for genetic counselors, physicians, and medical trainees.
What started as a simple Instagram account and monthly newsletter quickly grew into a thriving community of genetics trainees and professionals hungry for engaging and accessible study tools.
When it became clear that resources for genetics board prep were scarce, EveryGene responded with the launch of the 101 Must-Know Genetic Conditions Flashcard Deck, the free Genetics Math Workbook, and the EveryGene Question Bank Collective—the first collaborative genetics question bank of its kind.
Since then, EveryGene has been dedicated to one mission: to reimagine genetics education by making it engaging, innovative, and accessible. Designed by trainees, reviewed by experts, and trusted by thousands, EveryGene continues to create fresh resources that help learners study smarter, gain confidence, and succeed in a field that is evolving every day.
